Senior Accounts Assistant

Some of the tasks the intern can potentially expect to be doing in finance are as follows:

• Preparing Billing Data
• Raising Sales Invoices and Billing Data
• Reconciliation and Analysis of Purchase Data
• Ad Hoc Project Support
• Assisting Customers with Finance Related Queries
• Liaising With Client Support to Assist with Resolve Queries

Melissa Bone

Client Support Agent

Whilst in Client Support, you will be expected to manage and complete daily tasks which include resolving customer queries, raising claims, and answering inbound calls from both our customer and the end client.

Other daily tasks will involve;

• Booking collections
• Raising tickets with the delivery partners for investigations to take place or logging them onto their portals
• Managing day to day responses proactively and reactively
• Communicating with our customers to make sure they are continuously satisfied with the service provided

Holly Murray

Project Manager

In Business Change, you will get the opportunity to;

• Learn about Project Management and how we deliver projects at Pro Carrier
• Supporting the Project Manager in creating visual aids & presentations for workshops
• Assist in creating required SOP documentation of the new change processes required
• Observing and learning the day to day activities which keep the projects running smoothly and assist in monitoring project task timelines

Ryan Brooks

Transport Manager

Some of the tasks an intern can expect in Transport are as follows:

• Vehicle planning / run sheets.
• Customs entries
• Commercial Invoices
• Figures / Reports
• Processing Parcels
• Goods in / out paperwork

I have also enjoyed doing impactful work from sourcing and bringing onboard my own Sales accounts to arranging deliveries and communicating with customers. I would recommend the internship to others, every department has challenged me to develop new skills, from resilience to problem solving. “I was originally supposed to go to university to study English Literature, not really knowing the direction I wanted to start my career in. I was unsure if going to university would be right for me, but when I heard about the Pro Carrier Internship it seemed like a great fit. I knew that I wanted to work in an area where I would be able to write, and my time in Marketing allowed me to find my passion in content writing and SEO.

Over the course of the internship I have gained so many new skills from each area that I worked in. Every department allowed me to learn something new and useful that was not only relevant to the work I was doing, but applicable in my day-to-day life.

Moving departments forced me to become a more organised and flexible person, and the plethora of training sessions available meant I have been able to greatly enhance my soft skills. This was especially useful when presenting my overall experience of each area to the Heads of Department and soon the Board of Directors.
